My hope/preference would be to have Netbeans run stably with both the AMD and the NVIDIA card installed. Depends.exe did not offer much explanation, but digging around revealed that one of the imported functions were missing from the DLL on the system. Netbeans ran for about 4 or 5 hours - including through IDE reboot - then it failed on system reboot and has never worked since. The next day, when re-booting my computer, I no longer got the error messages (also mentioned in detail in my original comment).
