Well, since I'm your typical lazy network administrator, I don't have the time to sit there and manually remove every installation… so I automated it with a shut down script! Will give this a shot. With version 4.4.304 I needed to use the following parameters for a proper uninstall: "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Security Essentials\setup.exe" /u /s Setup Information: Setup Type: Windows Installer (Delivered as an EXE) Deployment Check This Out

Cheers. I've also noticed that some virus infections manage to get some of the directories related to MSE corrupted to where you simply cannot delete them, even with this script. In the folder amd64 you can find the epp.msi file which you can edit with ORCA (Google "ORCA msi editor" if you don't know what it is).
