I've already spent some hours today working out what's wrong with it so I'm not sure I'll be building it either. It is not true that the dependencies of the driver have not been released. Mesa, X Server or X driver? It is plainly rude towards users.
Go "blame" the the intel devs for being so stupid as to make their driver modern and make use of enhanced stability. And this is clearly a mistake for me, as far as I can see. If I start it, it too throws out this error message: "Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager. So it looks like Xorg and the kernel folk are out of sync and have left Intel 915GM chipset owners high and dry.So it looks like those of us with 915GM
