NOTE: Don't bother with the NDProxy.sys being not loaded cuz it is just a proxy driver and since you do not have any server it might be unable to load.Alright after We do have 3 startup scripts and actually got an error related to one of them. Any help would be much appreciated. Did you changed some services? I'm running and AMD 2.0Ghz ,1.5 GB memory and a 350Mhz / 256 mb AGP Video with vista Home Premium, I did use the Upgrade and not a clean install.The Vista Same issue here. The solution that finally fixed every instance we were seeing of this on both Vista & 7 was to take the drive out and put in a hard drive dock.

Also, Steam, Norton 2008, and others are big offenders that lead to this problem. My system (Vista Ultimate 32 Bit/9450Quad Core/3 GB RAM 8400/8800GT Black DOG/150GB Raptor Drive/500GB Western Digital). Once you can see the drive in another computer, right click on the drive letter of that drive, then Properties, Security, Edit, Add, Everyone and give full permissions. Yesterday Windows update ran automatically and I am again having this problem.

I did this with the MS Support tech. I get a black screen for a long time before getting the login screen. I'll also see if the network card drivers have an update. Check event viewer and see if there are any notices there.
